WOOHOO! What a wonderful whirlwind we have been in this week!  This last week the National Awards Banquet was held for all the Professional Photographers of Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  This was an exciting event where we had a chance to converse and mingle amongst other like minded professional photographers. As the night went on and we enjoyed some laughs and great food, we would soon discover that something much more fantastic was about to happen this evening. Something that would be a tremendous highlight to our year.

What Does This Award Mean?

• Ranked #1 among thousands of professional photographers across all of Canada.
• This is not a regional award, not a provincial award, but is the National award for the entire country.
• Judging panel from the association of the Professional Photographers of Canada does intense judging of Canada’s professional photographers to separate the average from the elite.
• Analyzed for professionalism, creativity, technical capability, and excellent consistency at a tremendously high level of professional photography.
• Photographer who demonstrates the best capabilities and expertise in all areas gets recognized and awarded for such a huge achievement!

We were called out among the crowd to step forward and receive a very exciting award, not a regional award, not a provincial award, but we were awarded as the Canadian National Wedding Photographer of Year. This award is HUGE as we were recognized as the best in Canada out of thousands of professional photographers!!! An award so huge as this is something we take seriously and appreciate greatly. This is a highly challenging achievement to attain and a huge honor. There is intense judging that goes into reviewing professional photographer’s work, not just in individual images, but on a broad scale to show professionalism, creativity, technical capability, and excellent consistency at a tremendously high level to separate the average from the elite. There is always a lot of hard work and countless hours that go into making the most excellent photographs for our clients in order to get more than just images, but actual art pieces from their wedding day which they get to happily display for the years to come. The result is that we are always pushing the creative and technical boundaries of photography in order to create beautiful and treasured memories that would be extraordinary. With the genuine and unscripted fun approach we have with our couples this allows us to push creativity while having a really good time.
